Dwarf Angora pROJECT
Our Dwarf Angora Project was created for families wanting the sweet personality and luxurious wool coat of the Angora rabbit but in a much smaller, compact size.
By combining our Double Mane Lionheads with carefully selected Dwarf Angoras, we are developing tiny wool-coated companions averaging just 3–3.5 lbs at maturity while maintaining a compact dwarf frame and adorable teddy bear appearance.
These rabbits feature:
• Fully wool-covered ears
• Thick wool coverage throughout the body
• Compact, cobby size and structure
• Soft, affectionate personalities
• A fluffy “puppy dog” appearance when groomed
Many of our first-generation babies are already taking after dad’s heavier full wool coverage instead of developing a traditional Lionhead wool saddle, creating a fuller and fluffier overall appearance.
Why Families Love Them
These little rabbits have such a unique look and personality. Their compact size mixed with the soft flowing wool gives them an appearance very similar to a tiny puppy, especially when maintained in shorter trims or “puppy cuts.”
They are interactive, eye-catching, and make wonderful indoor companions for families who enjoy hands-on pets and routine grooming.
Grooming & Maintenance
Because of their abundant wool coat, regular grooming is necessary to help keep the coat clean, comfortable, and mat free.
Most families choose to keep their rabbits trimmed down regularly, which:
• Keeps grooming easier
• Helps prevent mats and debris buildup
• Keeps the rabbit more comfortable
• Maintains a cleaner coat
• Enhances the adorable teddy bear appearance
Routine brushing and coat maintenance are important parts of owning a wool-coated rabbit.
Our Goals Within The Project
As this project continues to develop, we are focusing on improving:
• Full wool body coverage
• Compact dwarf type
• Coat texture and density
• Personality and companionship traits
• Unique colors and eye colors
We are incredibly excited about the future of these tiny luxury wool companions and cannot wait to continue sharing their development here at Boujie & Co. Rabbitry.
